Coalition of Interoperable Networks for Japan and International
Through building and operating an interconnection platform for research and education networks, and by effectively promoting traffic exchange between domestic and international networks, CINJI contributes to the advancement of Japan’s information infrastructure supporting research and education, and to the deepening of international collaboration.

Mission Statement
The Coalition of Interoperable Networks for Japan and International (CINJI) aims to contribute to the development of Japan’s research and education networks and to the strengthening of international collaboration through cooperation in the establishment and operation of interconnected environments related to research and education networks (information and communication networks intended for use in research, development, or educational activities).
Through this cooperation, CINJI seeks to facilitate and effectively promote the exchange of traffic between domestic and external research and education networks.
Through these activities, CINJI endeavors to contribute to the advancement of academia, industry, and society.
Activity
- Development, operation, and management of interconnected environments for research and education networks
- Implementation and support of proof‑of‑concept experiments related to research and education network
- Research studies and the collection and provision of information concerning research and education networks
- Coordination and collaboration with domestic and international organizations related to the above activities
- Other activities necessary to achieve the objectives of the Coalition
